One of the Best Things About Autumn is Cider!

Josh and I took the kids to the Erie Apple Orchard in September for the children's festival. We took a hay ride into the orchards to pick some crisp, sweet apples. Caleb had a great time picking his own apples, and even though he is very young, I think it is important that he learns that food originates from the earth, not a grocer. Afterwards, Caleb played in the hay, fed the goats and even hugged one throught he fence, and ate some to-die-for fresh cider and homemade apple donuts. Yum. A taste of my childhood. I grew up not too far from these orchards and I can't help but feel a little homesick when we visit every year.
