This past weekend my parents accompianed us to Trabbic Pumpkin Farm in Michigan. As usual, Caleb was drawn to the farm animals. He met the resident bunnies, goats, sheep, and even baby pigs. Then Caleb entered the hay bale maze and wouldn't come out until Josh had to go in after him. Little stinker. We then took another hay ride- this time into the paumpkin patch. We snacked on popcorn, pumpkin donuts, and cider on the trip. Once we got to the patch, we each picked a pumpkin. I prefer to buy pumpkins from the field, for the same reason I prefer for Caleb to pick his own apples. There is nothing more peaceful than hunting for the perfect pumpkin, fresh from the vine. Once we got home, Caleb and I decorated the front porch for Halloween. We used Mr. Potato Head parts for our jack-o-lanterns instead of carving. Easier with a toddler. I also put up all of our lights, which Caleb kept insisting wee "scary". Then we decorated the mantle in the living room. A good day!
