I am trying to postpone winter's cabin fever this Christmas by planning daily activities for Caleb. Everyday we do something small to celebrate the season. So far, we've shopped for a present for Emmaline together. Caleb chose a mini-sized baby doll for her all own his own. He then helped me wrap it and put it under the tree. He helped me wrap other gifts too. We've watched "The Polar Express", "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", and other classics. We set up our Christmas train and played with that one evening. Unfortunately, I can't leave it up as Emmaline tears up the tracks. We've also painted ceramic ornaments, went the the zoo's Lights Before Christmas, and tonight we made Snowman pancakes to celebrate the snow that is falling overnight.
Caleb was very excited to see snow for the first time the other day, and was extremely upset when it had all melted by the time his afternoon nap had ended. I hope there is enough snow for him to play in tomorrow!

Here he is enjoying his pancake man, made with powdered sugar and raisin buttons. I am sure he is dreaming of a white Christmas tonight! And tomorrow he'll awake to find his elf moved during the night to fill his pocket Advent calendar with a surprise. He'll then ask for the chocolate from his Polish Advent Calendar! :)
