At two, Josh and I took down a lot of Caleb's baby decor. We put up his toddler bed, took out his bookshelf as Caleb was destroying his books, and climbing on everything. So for the past year, his room has been pretty bare.
At three, Caleb is old enough to be trusted with the responsibility of having some possessions in his room again. Therefore, I painted his wall light blue (they were spa green) and put up his pirate decor. He is really into pirates and is very excited about his new room. In case you notice, no I did not run out of wallpaper border, I simply chose not to hang it over the area where he would idly pick at it! My pal Elle from Baby Cake Deigns made his curtains out of a sheet set I had found and I did all of the paintings and pictures. (Don't judge, I've never been trained at painting). And of course, we needed Captain Hook's alligator to keep an eye on Caleb's room over by the pirate ship toy box!
While I am excited for him to be in a big boy room (minus the twin bed- we don't want to put up his bunk bed quite yet) I still can't believe the only remnant of his nursery is his dresser. He just grew up too quick!
