Not a Photo Fam

The dawn of digital cameras has really made beautiful and artistic photos accessible to almost anyone. And I have to admit that although I really do love my little camera- I would gladly trade it in for a SLR. But I will have to wait until Josh is out of school and things settle around here. I prefer candid shots almost always that which are over posed, and my little point and click is just too slow.

That said though, I am not a photo fanatic. I appreciate photos as mementos of my family sharing a moment, my children growing up, and of my life. But I can't say that I make pictures my life. And I will admit to taking some quick pictures of the kids a couple of times a week. At some point though I always tell Josh you gotta' put the camera down and live the moment, and not be so darn worried about catching the moment in megabytes.

No surprise therefore when I had to really go digging through the files on my hard drive to find a decent family picture for this year's Christmas card! I don't think Josh and I have had them done together professionally since we were engaged. The kids only have the basic milestone pictures taken, so I don't any professional images of them together either since last Christmas.

But alas. we had a few different family shots of us while in Walt Disney World. Now to pic out a design for the card....
